GENERAL PROSPECTUS AGREEMENT
UFORGE Gallery (UFG) open calls are designed to educate, challenge and inspire creativity. As part of our mission, we encourage all individuals to participate who wish to create art and display their original work in a safe and judgment free environment. Call for entries are open to 2D and/or 3D methods (see assignment for requirements). All work must be “original”. No reproductions or copies will be accepted.
MEDIA AND LIMITATIONS
Size limitations for all 2D work shall be no larger than 24 x 36 inches (including mat and/or frame) unless otherwise noted. 2D works must be ready to hang with wire in place (no saw tooth hangers), and under Plexiglas for all shipped works. Mats, if any, must be white or off-white. All 3D work shall weigh no more than 20 lbs and be no larger than 24 x 24 x 24 inches. 3D work must be self-supporting and free standing. Submissions that exceed the posted requirements for this assignment may be disqualified with no refund. Artists should email the gallery directly if they have questions regarding the size limitations.
DELIVERY AND RETURN OF WORK
Work may be hand-delivered or shipped to UFORGE and will remain on display for the duration of the show. Shipped works must be sent in a reusable container with return shipping prepaid. Works will be returned in the same manner as delivered (or via UPS/USPS). All work must be dropped-off by the specified dates on or before each call for entry during posted business hours. All work will be available for pick-up on the first weekend of a new exhibition. Work remaining unclaimed for 30 days will become property of UFORGE.
Registration can be made online, by mail or in the gallery. A non-refundable entry fee of $35.00 shall be paid on or before the posted online registration deadline. Entry fee must be paid by credit card, U.S. check or money order made payable to UFORGE Gallery in U.S. funds, or by cash. Registrations are on a first come, first serve basis and will remain open until filled. There is no limit to the number of paid registrations you may submit. The online registration process is preferred to help ensure an efficient process for all exhibiting artists.
Artwork will be handled with utmost care. UFORGE is not responsible for lost or damaged artwork. Artists are responsible for their own insurance for duration of the show and all shipping.
SALES AND PAYMENTS
Sales of submitted artwork are encouraged. When delivering your artwork, you are required to submit a completed UFORGE drop-off form. Payments are issued within 30 days after the close of the exhibition. A 35% commission will be withheld for all non-members.
By agreeing to participate in our exhibitions, i.e. call for entry, juried show, invitational, etc. you are giving UFORGE the right to use images of your work for any promotional materials and website. Newspapers and other media outlets are allowed to use images of your work in material promoting UFORGE and its artists. Submission of your work indicates acceptance of conditions stated above.
