Kicking off the inaugural Art Market at UFORGE Gallery this weekend is artist James William Flynn. An accomplished oil painter in the tradition of James McNeil Whistler, Edward Hopper, and Robert Henri, Flynn has had a long career as a commercial artist in the corporate sector. A native New Englander, his east coast landscapes are rich with vibrant color, reflected light, and elemental atmospherics. A stint in the Peace Corps brought him to Morocco, granting him the opportunity to study a very different culture and environment, his work showing a strong emphasis on the humanity of the Moroccan people.
Flynn will be showing and selling his work this weekend at UFORGE Gallery from 10am to 5pm on Saturday (June 29th) and Sunday (June 30th), presenting a great opportunity to meet the artist, chat with him about life and art, and experience his work in the flesh.
This weekend will also include a free demonstration on Sunday, June 30th at 1:00pm with the Framers' Workshop - Brookline. Check out our recent blog post about the artist and framing expert, Francesca Caruso and Framers’ Workshop.
