This week UFG’s newest exhibition opened, titled “REM Cycle.” The show features artworks inspired by dreams and nightmares, from still nature scenes to eerie, grisly tableaux, with all manner of surreal compositions in between. Several collages from Marnie Jain’s UFG workshop are also included. The opening reception was held on Thursday in conjunction with the event for the Revolver show, “Jeff Roberts: Surfaces,” and several artists were present to discuss their works on display while munching on some delicious homemade rice krispie treats and root beer floats provided by gallery assistant Amanda. See some photos of the event below, and stop by the gallery to see the works in person!
“REM Cycle” runs through August 25, 2013. “Jeff Roberts: Surfaces” runs through August 18, 2013.
